Herriman's sprinter
Love grew up in Herriman, a suburb of Salt Lake City, and ran for Herriman High School, where Team USA says she won 16 state sprint and high jump titles. At UNLV she was a two-time USTFCCCA Second Team All-American in the 4x100-meter relay (2017 and 2018), won the 4x400 at the 2018 Mountain West Indoor Championships and still holds the school's outdoor 4x100 record at 43.81, by her UNLV bio.
From a push camp to a world title
Team USA dates her first bobsled camp to October 2020 and says she reached the Olympics 16 months later: seventh in two-woman at Beijing 2022, as a push athlete. She pushed Humphries to two-woman bronze at the 2023 World Championships in St. Moritz before moving to the front of the sled.
On March 9, 2025, at Lake Placid, she won the monobob world title in 3:57.82, ahead of Germany's Laura Nolte (3:58.26) and Elana Meyers Taylor (3:58.31). The Associated Press reported she was the seventh U.S. pilot to win a world title. Read the full profile story.

On Oct. 5, 2026, she won the women's pilot push at the USA Push Championships in Lake Placid with a combined 11.314. USA Bobsled says she married Team USA bobsledder Hunter Powell in summer 2026, and the IBSF now lists her as Kaysha Love-Powell. USA Bobsled had not announced its 2026-27 team as of Oct. 31, 2026; the World Cup season opens at Altenberg, Germany, in late November 2026.
