Soccer leads UVU's first Big West fall
Utah Valley's first Big West season starts with soccer. Women's soccer played UVU's first Big West contest in any sport on September 23, 2026, beating Cal State Bakersfield 7-1 at UCCU Stadium in Orem with five scorers from Utah. Men's soccer reached Big West play 4-0-2 under first-year head coach Michael Chesler, after winning at a ranked opponent for the first time, 2-1 at No. 20/12 Marshall on September 11. The men's Big West opener is UC Irvine at UCCU Stadium on September 30 at 7 p.m. MT.
Both teams play at UCCU Stadium, the $30 million, 3,000-seat venue that opened on the west side of Clyde Field in August 2025.
The rest of the department
UVU moved from the WAC to the Big West on July 1, 2026, in 13 sports; wrestling stays in the Big 12. UVU volleyball is the other fall team with a Beehive page, and the team directory below links the official roster and schedule for all 14 programs.
The women's soccer team arrived with four straight WAC regular-season titles through 2025. Those honours belong to the WAC years, and the dates on this page keep them separate from what UVU does in its new league.
