Seven Castain, a forward from Draper, Utah, scored in the 86th minute for Dallas Trinity FC at Brooklyn FC on Oct. 10, 2026, to earn a 1-1 draw, the club reported. She is playing the fall season in the USL Super League on loan from the NWSL's Orlando Pride, who signed her in January and in July extended her contract through 2028, with a mutual option for 2029.
"It was a great team goal. LJ set me up with a perfect ball, and I think it just shows how we've been working," she said after the match, in Dallas Trinity's report.
Draper, Waterford and Utah Avalanche
The Orlando Pride, Dallas Trinity and TCU all print her hometown as Draper, Utah. TCU's biography credits her with 113 goals in two and a half seasons at Waterford High School, the school's career scoring record, and lists her as the 2021 2A Player of the Year and a first-team all-state pick in 2018, 2020 and 2021. She played club soccer for Utah Avalanche ECNL and was named ECNL Northwest All-Conference in 2019 and 2021.
Dallas Trinity's biography says she enrolled at TCU at just 17.
Four seasons at TCU
Castain built steadily at TCU, according to the school's biography and the Pride's release. She was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team in 2022, scored seven goals in 2023 to make the All-Big 12 first team, and scored 13 goals with six assists in 2024, tying for the Big 12 lead, and she was named a fourth-team All-American.
As a senior in 2025 she scored 17 goals, tying the TCU single-season record set by Messiah Bright in 2021, and her 38 points were the second-most in a season in school history, the Pride reported. She had seven game-winning goals, six multi-goal games and two hat tricks. In the NCAA tournament she scored five goals in two matches, a hat trick against Grambling State and two against Memphis, and TCU reached the College Cup for the first time in program history, Dallas Trinity's announcement noted.
United Soccer Coaches named her a first-team All-American, and she was a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, TCU and the USL W League reported. She was also named Big 12 Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year.
A summer champion with Utah United
Before her senior season she spent the 2025 summer at home with Utah United in the USL W League. The club won the league title in its first season, "led by Golden Boot winner and Player of the Year Seven Castain," the league announced. She scored 21 goals for Utah United across the regular season and playoffs, the league said in naming her Mountain Division Player of the Year, and TCU reported that she scored in the final.
Into the NWSL
The Orlando Pride signed her as a free agent on Jan. 16, 2026, by the club's player page. That month U.S. Soccer named her one of six forwards for its National Team Development Camp, held alongside a U.S. women's national team camp in Los Angeles.
She made her professional debut in Orlando's season opener against the Seattle Reign, playing the full 90 minutes, and made 11 appearances for the Pride, the club reported. In July Orlando signed her to the new contract and sent her to Dallas Trinity for the rest of the 2026 season.
"She arrived in Orlando with an impressive collegiate résumé," Pride general manager Caitlin Carducci said in the club's release, which added that she had shown "tremendous professionalism and maturity throughout her first season in this league."
Goals in Dallas
She scored on her Dallas Trinity debut, in a 1-1 draw with Tampa Bay Sun FC at the Cotton Bowl on Aug. 15, 2026, the club reported.
"I really can't think of a better place to do it. The first goal means everything, but to do it with these people by my side, means more," she said.
She scored again in a 3-0 win over Brooklyn FC on Sept. 5 and then found the late equalizer at Brooklyn in October, by the club's match reports.
Dallas Trinity's first team manager, Lee Nguyễn, described her when the loan was announced: "Seven is a natural goal scorer who plays with purpose and consistently puts herself in dangerous positions."
The club's schedule listed five matches from Nov. 1 in its shortened fall season: Fort Lauderdale United FC and Sporting JAX at the Cotton Bowl on Nov. 1 and 8, at Tampa Bay Sun FC on Nov. 14, Lexington SC at home on Nov. 21 and at Carolina Ascent FC on Nov. 28.
