Snow College Soccer's 14-0 and 9-0 Day, and Where Both Badgers Teams Stand

Snow College's women's and men's soccer teams played Pacific Northwest Christian College in Kennewick, Washington, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, and won 14-0 and 9-0. That is 23 Snow College goals in one day, and neither side conceded. Both teams then won again at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno on Thursday, September 24: the women 2-1 and the men 1-0, according to Snow's official schedules.

After Reno, Snow's schedules list the women at 4-2-2 overall and 4-0-2 in the Scenic West Athletic Conference, and the men at 5-4-1 overall and 4-2 in the conference. Both play at College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls on Saturday, September 26.

Eleven different women scored in the 14-0

Snow's women led 9-0 at halftime. Adelle Grimley opened the scoring in the second minute, Lydia Neville added a goal a minute later from Carly Knudsen's assist, and Hallie Hansen scored in the sixth minute from Grimley. Madelyn Jakobson scored in the eighth minute off Kalle Jackson's assist, Brenna Arauzo in the 14th from Grimley, Jaden Hlebasko in the 20th from Jakobson, and Julie Huddleston in the 35th from Hlebasko. Caliyah Wagner scored in the 41st minute from Macie Gustin, and Summer Long scored with seconds left in the half, assisted by Huddleston.

Five more goals came after the break. Jolee Irvin scored twice, both assisted by Kynna Duricic, and Duricic scored one of her own from Anna Monson's pass. Jakobson then scored twice more, both assisted by Monson, and completed her hat trick in the 61st minute. Snow's recap listed the win as the Badgers' seventh in seven all-time meetings with the Gladiators.

Jakobson is a freshman defender from Meridian, Idaho, according to Snow's roster. Two days earlier, on Thursday, September 17, the women had drawn 0-0 at North Idaho College. Snow's recap credited the Badgers with 20 shots, seven of them on goal, to North Idaho's eight shots and four on goal.

The men's 9-0 came two days after a 3-0 loss

The men's weekend started the other way. North Idaho College, ranked No. 13 in Snow's recap, scored three first-half goals on September 17, in the second, 14th and 35th minutes, the first from a free kick after a Snow handball just outside the box. The second half was scoreless and North Idaho won 3-0. Snow's schedule lists that match at Marimn Health Field in Worley, Idaho.

In Kennewick two days later the Badgers won 9-0, their second shutout of the season, according to Snow's recap. Michael Martinez scored a hat trick, all three goals after halftime. Jorge Beltran scored twice in the first half, and Felix Biederman and Isaac Stanley added one each before the break. Aidan Gatherum and Kade Davis scored in the second half.

Martinez is a freshman midfielder from West Valley who played at Murray High School, and Beltran a sophomore forward from Salt Lake City and East High School, according to Snow's roster.

The SLCC and USU Eastern matches

The women's first Utah opponents came to Ephraim on September 10 and 12. Against Salt Lake Community College, ranked No. 4 in Snow's recap, the Bruins scored 1:45 into the second half and Kalle Jackson equalized in the 67th minute with a long-range shot. The match finished 1-1. Two days later Snow beat USU Eastern, listed at No. 19 in the same recap, 2-1. Jolee Irvin finished Lydia Neville's cross in the 40th minute, USU Eastern equalized with under 30 seconds left in the first half, and Hallie Hansen scored the winner in the 66th minute after a Jackson corner.

The men lost to SLCC 4-1 on September 10. Carter Archuleta scored his first goal of the season in the 47th minute, from JJ Cubillas's pass, to make it 1-1, and SLCC scored in the 49th, 59th and 79th minutes. Against USU Eastern on September 12, Landon Michaelis equalized in the 49th minute from Beltran's pass, and Cubillas scored the winner in the 85th after a combination between Liam Kilbane and Amir Odeh.

How the two seasons started

The women opened with two losses at the IHCC Classic in Ottumwa, Iowa: 1-0 to Iowa Western on August 27 and 3-0 to Indian Hills on August 29. They opened Scenic West play on September 5 with an 8-0 win at Colorado Northwestern in Rangely, Colorado, where Hansen scored a hat trick and Snow outshot Colorado Northwestern 33-2, according to the recap.

The men began the season ranked 19th in the NJCAA Division I preseason poll, Snow's August 25 recap said, and opened with an 8-1 home win over Casper College, which that recap listed at No. 18. Cubillas scored twice, one of them a penalty. Arizona Western won 3-2 in Ephraim two days later, and in Ottumwa the Badgers drew 2-2 with Indian Hills and lost 4-0 to Mohave. Their Scenic West opener on September 5 was also an 8-0 win in Rangely, with a Gabe Newman hat trick.

Two rosters built mostly in Utah

Twenty-five of the 30 players on Snow's women's roster list Utah hometowns, from St. George and Cedar City to Vernal, Tooele, Lehi and Kaysville. The other five are from Idaho, Arizona, Nevada and Washington. Brock Ogami is the head coach.

The men's roster lists 17 Utah hometowns among 31 players. Five players are from England, three from Canada and one each from Wales, Germany and Australia; the other three are from California, Nevada and Washington. Lewis Wilson is the head coach.

What comes next

Both teams play at College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls on Saturday, September 26. Snow's schedules list the women at 11 a.m. and the men at 1:30 p.m.; the men's recap gave a 3:30 p.m. start, so check the official schedule before you travel. The Badgers then return to the Snow College Soccer Complex in Ephraim to host Colorado Northwestern on October 3, with the women at 1 p.m. and the men at 3:30 p.m. They play at SLCC on October 15, and the Region 18 tournament is scheduled for October 29-31.
