Weber State football beat Cal Poly 42-34 in double overtime in San Luis Obispo, California, on October 3, 2026, and two brothers from Draper finished it. On Cal Poly's answering possession, sophomore defensive end Porter Small sacked the quarterback for a 10-yard loss and sophomore safety Jayden Mayberry broke up a fourth-and-19 pass to end the game.

How Weber State won in double overtime
Weber State trailed 27-24 after Cal Poly scored with 8:53 left in the fourth quarter. The Wildcats tied it with 55 seconds to play on a 38-yard field goal by junior kicker David Dellenbach, capping an eight-play, 60-yard drive.
Cal Poly scored first in overtime on a 3-yard run by Jaden Green. Weber State answered in two plays: after an incompletion, Dahle kept the ball and ran 25 yards for the tying touchdown, and Dellenbach added the extra point to make it 34-34.
In the second overtime, a Cal Poly roughing-the-passer penalty moved Weber State from the 20 to the 10. After an incompletion, Dahle ran for a yard, and after a Weber State timeout he found Tate Kjar for the go-ahead score. The two-point pass to Noah Kjar made it 42-34. Cal Poly started at the Weber State 25 needing a touchdown; Small's sack on third down and Mayberry's pass breakup on fourth down ended it.
Nate Dahle's 308 yards
Dahle, a freshman from Millville who played at Ridgeline High School, completed 15 of 33 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns and ran 15 times for 85 yards and a touchdown, for 308 yards of total offense. His first touchdown pass came in the first quarter, a 39-yard strike to Tate Kjar that finished a six-play, 92-yard drive for a 7-3 lead. Tate Kjar finished with five catches for 89 yards and both touchdowns. Noah Kjar, a 2026 team captain, caught five passes for 79 yards, and freshman Jasean Mayberry added three for 45.
