About BYU Women's Swimming and Diving
BYU women's swimming and diving competes in the Big 12 Conference and hosts meets at the Richards Building Pool in Provo. Tamber McAllister is head coach, in her third season in charge, and Tom Huynh is head diving coach. The same staff leads the men's team.

On Oct. 2 at the CMU Intermountain Shootout in Grand Junction, Colorado, freshman Summer Thresher set the BYU record in the 100 backstroke at 52.97, breaking a 12-year-old mark by 0.23 seconds in her first collegiate race, and junior Sarah Eliason set the 100 individual medley record at 56.91. BYU's schedule page lists the women first at the meet with 183 points. On Oct. 16 the Cougars beat UC Santa Barbara 122-102 in Thousand Oaks, California, with seven first-place finishes, including Thresher's wins in the 100 and 200 backstroke (season guide).
Last season
On Feb. 6, 2026, BYU beat Utah 160-140 at Richards Building Pool, its first win over the Utes since 2012, per BYU's recap. McAllister was Big 12 Co-coach of the Year for the women's team in 2024-25, and Lucy Warnick is the returning All-Big 12 swimmer, according to BYU's schedule release.
What comes next
The schedule lists the Utah Tech Sprint Dual at Richards Building Pool on Nov. 6 and UNLV there on Nov. 7, which the release marks as senior night.
