The fall season so far
At the Wolverine Invitational at Talons Cove in Saratoga Springs on September 14 and 15, Southern Utah finished third of 10 teams at 878, one stroke behind Wyoming and three behind host Utah Valley. Its closing 282 was the low team round of the event, and freshman Saylar May won medalist honors by three shots at eight-under 208 (her story).
At the Yellowstone Intercollegiate at Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, Montana, on September 21 and 22, the Thunderbirds finished seventh at 42-over 906. May tied for third at three-over 219, and Siriporn (Orchid) Luangnam closed with a two-under 70 to tie for sixth at 220, according to Southern Utah's recap.
What comes next
Southern Utah plays the Golf Iconic Classic at the NMSU Golf Course in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on October 12-14 and the Clash at Boulder Creek in Boulder City, Nevada, on October 25-27. The Big Sky Championship is scheduled for April 21-23 at Briarwood Country Club in Sun City West, Arizona.
