Utah Tech volleyball was 9-3 and 2-0 in its first Big Sky season on September 26, 2026, after a five-set win at Northern Arizona stretched its winning streak to six.
About Utah Tech Volleyball
Utah Tech volleyball plays at Burns Arena in St. George under head coach Camilla Hafoka. It competes in NCAA Division I and, since July 1, 2026, the Big Sky Conference.
The season so far
After two exhibition losses, to UNLV and BYU, Utah Tech opened the regular season at the Utah Valley Invitational in Orem, beating Utah Valley and Oregon State before losing to Utah. It went 1-2 at the Outrigger Invitational in Honolulu, beating UC San Diego in five sets, then swept San Jose State and host UC Irvine in Irvine, California. Tessa Treanor's career-high 20 kills against San Jose State and double-double against UC Irvine earned her Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week (her story).
Back at Burns Arena, the Trailblazers swept UC Riverside and Chicago State on September 18 and 19, then opened Big Sky play on September 24 with a 3-0 win at Portland State, their fifth straight sweep. Senior opposite hitter Nana Asiata had 13 kills that night. Two days later at Northern Arizona, Utah Tech lost the first set and then won 3-2 behind 15 kills and 16 digs from Treanor, according to Utah Tech's recap.
What comes next
Utah Tech hosts Southern Utah on September 29 and Northern Colorado on October 1 at Burns Arena. The Big Sky tournament is scheduled for November 23-25 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
