The season so far
The Trailblazers opened on September 2 at the NAU George Kyte Classic at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, Arizona, placing third of five teams. Senior Averie Perriton was 13th over 2.5 miles in 15:26.5, and six more Utah Tech runners finished in the top 25 (meet story).
At the UC Riverside Invitational on September 19, the women placed 15th of 30 teams in the 6K. Perriton, from Cheyenne, Wyoming, was 22nd in 20:46.7, the third-fastest 6K in program history, according to Utah Tech's recap.
What comes next
Utah Tech runs at Southern Utah's Color Country Invitational in Cedar City on October 3 and the Under Armour Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, on October 16. The Big Sky Championships are on October 30 at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, and the NCAA West Regional on November 13 in Sacramento, California.
