Mountain West Player of the Year
Falslev started all 36 games for Utah State in 2025-26 and led the Aggies in minutes (32.0 a game) and rebounding (5.7), while ranking second on the team in points (16.0), assists (3.1) and steals (1.9). The Mountain West named him its Player of the Year, put him on the first team and the all-defensive team, and added him to the all-tournament team after he averaged 17.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.3 steals over three games as Utah State won the tournament title.
He scored in double figures 30 times and topped 20 points 10 times. His season high was 27 at Wyoming on Feb. 7, when he shot 10 of 16 from the floor and 6 of 6 from the line, and he posted double-doubles at Grand Canyon (25 points, 12 rebounds) and UNLV (20 points, 11 rebounds).

Utah State's records list him entering 2026-27 third in program history in career steals (192), 12th in assists (317) and 16th in points (1,469), and he has started all 104 games he has played. His 79 steals as a sophomore are the second-most in a season in school history, and that total ranked 12th in the NCAA.
One more season, under a new coach
Falslev was a redshirt freshman who had yet to score a college point in the summer of 2023, the Deseret News noted in August, before beginning a run that now reaches a fifth year. He plays it for Ben Jacobson, whom Utah State hired in March after 20 seasons at Northern Iowa. "I don't want Mason to change who he is as a player," Jacobson said. Falslev's view of staying: "I'm super happy that I get to walk out of here as an Aggie."
In the classroom
He was a CSC Academic All-American third team pick in 2026, the citation confirming a 3.65 GPA in finance, and a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Utah State also named him its Male Athlete of the Year in April 2026.
