The result answers two recent losses to the same opponent. Snow won 2-1 over USU Eastern on September 12, and it also ended the Eagles' 2025 season with a 1-0 win in the Region XVIII Tournament on October 30, 2025, in Taylorsville. On October 17 the Eagles beat Snow in Price.
Enslow is a freshman from Draper and Corner Canyon High School who wears No. 37. Ashworth is a sophomore forward from Spanish Fork High School who wears No. 8.
Mia Pickering's hat trick
The standout individual game of the season came on September 19, when USU Eastern, ranked No. 20 in its recap, beat Truckee Meadows Community College 4-2. Mia Pickering, the redshirt freshman forward who wears No. 7, scored in the 5th, 16th and 51st minutes. The recap credits Brookley Rasmussen with an assist on the first goal, shared with Ellyse Kessler, and on the fourth. Freshman forward Mikayla Stewart scored in the 37th minute to give USU Eastern a 3-0 halftime lead, and USU Eastern outshot Truckee Meadows 22-4. The box score lists Pickering with four shots, three of them on goal.
Pickering is from Salt Lake City and Olympus High School. Her USU Eastern biography says she tore her ACL before her freshman year at Olympus, came back to become a versatile contributor who played several positions, and earned second-team All-Region honors in 5A Region 6 as a senior. The schedule page's team-leaders block lists her third on the team in points with 13, behind Rasmussen's 25 and Ashworth's 17.
The Eagles around her
The team that surrounds Pickering is young. USU Eastern's August 23 release described a roster of 30 players with just seven sophomores. Rasmussen, a freshman midfielder from Herriman High School in South Jordan who wears No. 9, leads the team with 10 goals through October 15 and 25 points. Ashworth has 17 points. In goal, sophomore Haygen Haycock leads the team in saves with 90, a .811 save percentage and a 1.41 goals-against average, as the schedule page lists them.
The Eagles opened against ranked opponents. They lost 4-1 at preseason No. 16 Eastern Arizona College on August 20 and 4-0 to No. 2 Arizona Western College two days later, then won 4-2 at Casper College on August 27 and 3-0 at Western Nebraska Community College on August 29. They lost 3-1 to Salt Lake Community College on September 5 and drew 1-1 at SLCC on October 3.
