Westminster Women's Volleyball

Westminster volleyball is in its first season under Lindsey Calvin, who was named head coach in February 2026 after a season as a volunteer assistant with the Griffins. Calvin was a four-year starter at Saint Mary's College of California, played on the FIVB Beach World Tour and professionally indoors in Switzerland and Finland, and coached at Seattle Pacific and Saint Mary's, according to the RMAC's announcement.

A hard nonconference schedule

The Griffins played eight nonconference matches away from Salt Lake City, at the Washburn Invitational and on a Texas trip, including No. 6 Washburn and No. 15 Central Oklahoma. They went 1-7, with the win a five-set match against Stanislaus State on September 4.

The RMAC so far

Westminster opened conference play at Behnken Field House with a 3-0 win over New Mexico Highlands on September 11, then lost to Adams State the next day. The Griffins were swept on the road at UCCS and No. 19 MSU Denver on September 18-19, leaving them 2-10 overall and 1-3 in the RMAC as of September 22.

RMAC coaches picked Westminster ninth of 15 in the 2026 preseason poll, with 83 points. UCCS was the favorite.

Next on the schedule (as of September 22)

The Griffins travel to Western Colorado in Gunnison on September 25, Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction on September 26 and Fort Lewis in Durango on September 29 before returning home to face Western Colorado on October 3.
