Snow College’s First Home SWJCFC Game Is Set for September 19

Snow College Football will play its first home Southwest Junior College Football Conference game on Saturday, September 19. Trinity Valley Community College comes to Terry Foote Stadium in Ephraim for a 7 p.m. Mountain Time kickoff, the next fixed date after Snow’s opening three-game stretch and its first chance to host a game that counts in the new league standings.

Snow College Athletics’ 2026 schedule release put this date on the calendar months ago, but the road into it now has a record attached. The Badgers beat Garden City Community College 31-17 on August 22, rallied from 10 down to beat Cisco College 39-10 in their first SWJCFC game on September 5, then lost 35-30 at Kilgore College on September 12. Snow arrives home 2-1 overall after two consecutive conference road trips to Texas.

The Texas opener established the first two results

Snow’s conference debut at Cisco supplied the sharpest early result. The Badgers trailed 10-0 late in the first quarter, then scored 39 unanswered points in a 39-10 win. Snow College Athletics recorded four interceptions, including fourth-quarter return touchdowns by Fale Atuaia and Will Warner, while the Badgers led 401-205 in total yards and 24-8 in first downs.

The next Saturday in Kilgore went the other direction. Kilgore College’s official recap says Snow led 23-7 at halftime, but the Rangers scored 28 points after the break and won 35-30. The same report lists three Ian Sanches field goals and, in its team statistics, 256 Snow passing yards. Snow’s late touchdown cut it to five with 1:24 left, but the onside kick failed.

Those results are not a full season verdict. They are the concrete starting line for a team in a new conference: one road win built on takeaways, one road loss after a 16-point halftime lead, and a first home league game now directly ahead. Snow’s official September 11 game notes had the Badgers at No. 5 in the NJCAA Division I poll going into the Kilgore game.

September 19 is the first Ephraim conference date

The Trinity Valley game is more than Snow’s next home appearance. It is the first home SWJCFC game in the program’s history. Snow’s April schedule announcement said the Badgers would play four regular-season home games in 2026, beginning with the August 22 nonconference opener against Garden City and continuing with conference home dates against Trinity Valley, Tyler and Navarro.

The venue is Terry Foote Stadium in Ephraim. Snow College’s season-ticket announcement lists September 19 as the first home game within Southwest Junior College Football Conference play; the 7 p.m. kickoff comes from the April schedule release and the team’s schedule page. That release also says the department’s clear-bag policy applies to all home sporting events, so fans planning the trip have a practical detail to check before the gate.

Snow had spent the previous seven seasons as an NJCAA independent after the Western States Football League dissolved. The 2026 schedule release describes the move as a seven-game conference slate with one nonconference date, replacing the independent scheduling model with a league race that has a defined postseason route.

Four teams reach the conference tournament

The Southwest Junior College Football Conference tournament is scheduled to begin October 31, with the championship on November 7. Snow College’s official schedule release says only the top four of the eight conference teams qualify; the top two teams host the first-round games, and the championship is played at the highest remaining seed’s site.

That format gives every conference result a direct place in the calendar without inviting a premature forecast. Snow has already played two of its seven league games, both on the road. The Trinity Valley date begins a two-game home stretch before Tyler Junior College visits Ephraim on September 26, then the Badgers travel to Blinn College on October 3.

The home sequence is the useful checkpoint. On September 19, Snow will move from a Texas road introduction to the first conference Saturday at Terry Foote Stadium. A week later, it will have a second home league game behind it. The standings will have more evidence than a three-game September sample, and the tournament’s top-four cutoff will be closer than a schedule-release detail.

The first league game in Ephraim is also Homecoming

Snow’s schedule page flags September 19 as Homecoming, and the September 11 game notes call it the homecoming game. The first Southwest Junior College Football Conference match ever played in Ephraim is therefore also the date the program brings its alumni back.

The Badgers arrive at 2-1, with both league games so far played in Texas. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Mountain Time at Terry Foote Stadium, and the department’s clear-bag policy applies at the gate.
