Both of Westminster's lacrosse programs played for a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship in April 2026, and both lost the final. The men won the regular season outright and fell 12-11 in overtime at home. The women reached the title game in their first season under a new head coach and lost 14-5 at Regis.
Five months later, Westminster Athletics has posted 2026-27 rosters for both teams. Checking every 2026 conference honoree against those rosters answers the question a Griffins fan would ask next: how much of those two teams is coming back?
The men: an outright title and an overtime final
Westminster's men went 11-5 overall and 9-1 in the RMAC. A six-game win streak to end the regular season secured the program's second RMAC regular-season title, won outright, and with it the right to host the conference tournament at Dumke Field in Salt Lake City, according to Westminster Athletics.
The Griffins beat Northwest Nazarene 20-10 in the April 24 semifinal. In the April 26 final against Concordia Irvine, Westminster trailed 10-8 in the fourth quarter, tied it at 10, fell behind again and forced overtime when Luke Sillstrop scored with 11 seconds left. Concordia Irvine's Noah Pillow scored 1:02 into overtime for a 12-11 win, and the Golden Eagles took the RMAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II tournament. Christian Jones made 13 saves in goal for Westminster.
The RMAC named Sillstrop, an attacker from Encinitas, California, its Attacker of the Year after he led the conference with 45 goals in 14 games. Jones, a goalkeeper from South Jordan, was Goalkeeper of the Year after leading the RMAC with a .603 save percentage. Sillstrop scored three or more goals in nine of his 10 RMAC games and moved up from the All-RMAC second team in 2025 to the first team. Twelve Griffins made All-RMAC teams, five of them on the first team: Jones, Sillstrop, Duke DeVault, Liam Sweeney and Ben Weber. In May, USA Lacrosse named Sillstrop and Jones Honorable Mention All-Americans, the first All-Americans in Westminster men's lacrosse history.
The women: a first-year coach in the title game
Westminster's women went 10-6 overall and 7-3 in the RMAC in 2026, the first season under head coach Ashley Tack. They opened at home on March 13 with a 12-11 win over UCCS, a game in which Salt Lake City's Grace Szwedko scored late to put the Griffins ahead 12-9.
At the RMAC tournament at Regis Turf Field in Denver, Westminster beat UCCS 13-10 in the April 23 semifinal. Regis led the final 11-0 at halftime and won 14-5. The Griffins outscored Regis 3-0 in the third quarter.
The RMAC named Tack its Coach of the Year and Marianna Dick its Defensive Player of the Year. Eight Griffins in all were conference honorees: Dick, first-team pick Jordan Williamson, second-team picks Jessie Giacomazzi and Gabriella Dedes, and honorable mentions Olivia Petrosky, Holly Shoughro, Isabella Lopez and Szwedko.

Every name above was checked against the rosters Westminster Athletics had posted as of September 22, 2026:
- Women: eight of eight. Dick, Williamson, Giacomazzi, Dedes, Petrosky, Shoughro, Lopez and Szwedko are all listed, and Tack is listed as head coach.
- Men: 10 of 12. First-team picks Duke DeVault, Liam Sweeney and Ben Weber are listed, as are Daxton Jensen, Jake Bloom, George Phelps, Cale Gunter, Ashton Karch, Ridge Crouch and Boden Laforce. Brad Lavoie is listed as head coach.
- Not listed: Sillstrop and Jones, the two award winners. Westminster's releases identified both as seniors in 2026.
That split is the clearest way to read the two programs heading into 2027. The women return their entire honored core. The men return most of an All-RMAC group but must replace the league's top goal scorer and its top goalkeeper by save percentage.
What comes next
Neither team had posted a spring 2027 schedule as of September 22. The women's fall schedule brings them to Dumke Field against the University of Utah and Colorado Mesa on October 3, BYU on October 28, Utah Valley on November 6 and Utah again on November 13.
